Oh Lord, it's hard to be humble
When you're perfect in every way
I can't wait to look in the mirror
I get better looking each day
To know me is to love me
I must be one hell of a man
Oh Lord, it's hard to be humble
But I'm doing the best that I canI came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Or... the older you get the less perfect you become.Originally posted by Cort Haus
So after 20 votes it's shaping up as I expected. The younger are more likely to believe themselves to be perfect, and the older you get ... the wiser you become. :waveswalkingstick:

No, it's because once you turn past 35, people start realizing their failures (i.e. marriage, children, what politicians you supported, dreams of a better future, etc.). Perfection is youth, good job prospects, and not being weighed down by wife and kids.Originally posted by Cort Haus

Once you turn past a certain age, you start getting a belly, etc. then you start to think "well if I'm getting away from perfection, I might as well take someone down with me (i.e. marriage)."

Not always. I'm fitter, more confident and more successful than at any other time in my life. I feel good about myself and plans have come to fruition which I thought were well-calculated but a long shot nonetheless. Hail to the king, babyOriginally posted by Riesstiu IV

Perfection is something you can only tend towards. But I'm getting damn close
