All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

They could make it awful. I know that much for sure . But they'd be more likely to bury it forevah.

EA acquiring titles is... well it's not what you call a win-win, really, the gamers are guaranteed to lose. That's where EA's profit margin comes from; the gamers losing.

Acquire a good title (which carries expectations of quality)
          Produce a poor game.
But sell it as if it's a good game.
          PROFIT.

BUT TAKE HEART. The important thing, is that everyone remains committed to the shareholders. Because they are the people who truly matter .

Even though Take Two turned them down, there's one ray of hope?

Firaxis is owned by Take Two.

It's my understanding that the rights to Alpha Centauri are with EA.

Perhaps, just perhaps, if EA purchased Take Two and brought Firaxis into the fold, even with all of the bad things that come out of it, maybe there would be a SMAC2?

EA's profit margin is from games like Madden. Formulaic, yearly games that idiots buy up.

The fact that they have a terrible habit of buying smaller companies and making crap games with reputable titles is a small part of their business, there's no need to be a drama queen.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Consdiering what a small portion of the market TBS games are, I think if this goes thru we can kiss the Civ franchise goodbye. Unless it becomes RTS.

I'd dance like Hobbes, but I have no idea what this "file" is.

It looks to be 404 Not Found.

Which I think would be a great band name.
