Is Granma still bookmarked on your browser, che?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Never was, though I was mentioned in Granma once, though not by name.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Because he's not that bad, as far as dictators go. We're not asking why you don't like him, just why concentrate so much hate on him above Mugabe, or Suharto, or any of the reams of truly evil dictators. The kind the kill people.

            See my post 41 above.

And BTW, Castro has been known to shoot a political opponent or two...or hundreds.

Is this the "less evil than Stalin" test for foreign policy?

Those other dictators didn't nationalize the assets of well connected Americans. And that, after all, is what makes you truly evil.

If only that were the extent of it, or, indeed, even a large part of it.

Dubya's granddaddy lost $56 million because the family's sugar plantations were nationalized.

So when are you going to Cuba to help suppress the counterrevolution?

Iirc there's a large cuban expat community in Florida that both parties cater to by keeping the commerce restricted. I don't know what these expats want out of the current situation, but I'd bet their votes maintain the status quo.
