Tor Books is giving away some free SciFi ebooks for a bit. They are supposed to be DRM free. You fill out a form with your email address and postal code, then they send you a newsletter with a link to the download.

Baen books also has some of their books free - almost every one of their authors' first books is free - on www.baen.com
