  • Who's your Least favorite current actor?

Since it's more fun to fling mud: who's your least favorite actor/actress? We're talking people who are sort of taken seriously -- don't say Carrot-top or Rob Schneider.

I could go with any number of terrible comedic actors, but for my money the worst actor in the world is...

Josh Hartnett, particularly in that steaming pile of dung "The Black Dahlia"

Actress-wise, depite her, uh...assets...Josh's ex, Scarlett Johansen, isn't much better. But she is topped in scenery chewing awfulness by...

    Jessica Alba.

      Ben Affleck probably.

That's a good one. He did some good work in a couple of movies -- Leaving Las Vegas and, an old favorite, Wild at Heart. It's been a long time though, and the current string of unwatchable crud is very impressive.

I like Cage. I thought "Raisng Arizona" was great.
          As was "Con Air".

Robert De Niro. But then he set a high standard for himself early on.

Costner is too easy a target, like Carrey and Sandler and their ilk.

Agreed. Ronin (1998!) is latest movie from him that i have actually enjoyed. I haven't seen all his new (or old) movies, but at least there has not been much of a ruckus about those. I guess he just wants to collect a paycheck nowadays. Not that he's worst, but new movies he ends seem to be crap.

In some films he seems to play:

Robert De Niro, famous American actor.

                In others, it's:

Robert De Niro, slice of aged Parma ham.

I did enjoy him in 'Goodfellas' .

Yeah, a lot of his stuff is Nicholson/"the Bucket list" material at this point, but I don't know if I'd put him on my least favorite list. Have you seen Raging Bull? the Godfather II? Heat? Excellent work there.

I appreciate that you didn't just pick the low hanging fruit: Costner = Hartnett + 30 years.

I'm going to throw another one out there just for fun. I'd say he's more "most overrated" than "least favorite" but anyway -- Denzel Washington. The one thing he does, he does well: play Denzel Washington over and over and over again.

I don't see what the big deal is about Angelina Jolie.

Her husband is a bit of a wooden one too but at least he was good in "12 Monkeys".

The contrast between Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt in '7even' was so marked.

Still, I did enjoy Mr. Pitt as a young Mr. Pitt in 'Thelma & Louise'....

Wooden, occasionally, but gives good wood too....

The ones I was thinking of. Pacino also had the same leg o'ham trajectory at one point, but recovered with 'Sea Of Love' and was great in 'Carlito's Way' and 'The Insider'.
