Apolyton Civilization Site is proud to announce the major phase in the redesign of the site and forum system has been completed.
We now have a running version of the new site, complete with new graphics, and a new "Apolyton PLUS" program, that gives access to even moar great Apolyton content.
The graphics were done by our very own Dan "FrostyBoy" Kermichael, whom we thank very much. We went for an updated new concept that should appeal to old-timers and new comers alike, by tapping into modern web 2.0 design and popular internet themes and concepts, which we think would be easily recognizable and easy to love for everyone.
"It [ha]s been very long since the last time we updated the [ACS vBulletin forum] code" said proud site administrator and owner Dan Quick, "and I think it's about time".
"We've had some differences about where the site should be going, and had some arguments in the secret staff room. Some points regarding 'commercialization' and 'selling out to popular culture' were raised by Locutus but the outcome was decided by a democratic vote among [the site] owners, and I think it turned out for the best".
Locutus do not want to comment and did not return further calls.
So here it is - the baby that Gramphos and I have been working on for months (or as we called it, our very own little fur ball).
We went out and purchased a new domain to better reflect the site's new direction and increase it's Google [tm] ranking.
Here is a running version. Mind you, that while graphically and functionally complete, not all the threads have been converted, and most will go through in the rest of the weekend.
Comments are always appreciated, though Dan has already decided, so that's the way it is gonna stay.
Gramphos and Sirotnikov.
