Who gets offended by a picture or something of a sacred animal? I don't get it. If you consider something really good, why would you be offended by it?

My Muslim friend had no problem with her daughter having an origami pig I'd made during a dull afternoon at work. She even requested one for her son, too- just in a different colour.

It's not like the books were going to be scratch 'n' sniff or kids were going to have to lick bacon fat off to see the pictures.

Still, I'd recommend a book called 'The Myth Of Political Correctness' to anyone who thinks that 'Libbruls' en masse are responsible for p.c. scare stories, 'cos they ain't.

Uh Molly, Stinger isn't a Tory. I don't think he was blaming you for this.

                  I despair of liberal idiots

The title of this thread sounds vaguely like those of the poems I was required to study in English class.

                  I despair of liberal idiots
                  With their pompous, elitist ways.
                  Who, nose in air,
                  Ascend the stair,
To fix me with a superior gaze.

"I know not naught," they say to me.
"But I know more than thee."
And then they laugh, laugh, laugh,
                  Mount their giraffe,
                  And gallop off, yes sirree!

                    I didn't suggest he was.

And I ain't a Libbrul. Well.not according to Libbruls, anyway.

Of course by Bush/Huckabee/Robertson standards, I'm virtually the adopted son of Satan and Lilith.

The only heaven I like is in the tracks recorded by Talking Heads and The Psychedelic Furs.

Even Dante couldn't make Paradise more than a schnooze-fest, where the stag films come courtesy of Sister Benedicta Kenobi and feature the Daughters of The American Revolution daintily sipping oolong, clad in lace and dimity burqas.
