Well, I'm doing a dissertation these days. THat'll take some time, couple of years at least. I'm shooting for 2,5 years but you never know. That is, I'm a researcher.

Yes, and a researcher at the same time. I know, you can be a full blown reasearcher AFTER your PhD (in here), but my title is researcher, I do 100% research by myself and I am a de facto researcher so... but yes, doctoral student at the same time. I'm a multitasker?

Plus another small seminar (3 people) where we study more group theory.
You hear this in Slovenian? I was under the impression that you are a Canadian. Do you understand anything?

I'm sitting in on a final year undergrad course "Genome Stability, DNA Damage and Repair" cause my supervisor is giving the lectures and its an easy way to refresh my knowledge on somethings.

The doctoral students were required to take part in "Advanced Methods for Molecular Research" last term, a Master's level unit. It was full of thick-as-two-short-planks students. All of us Ph.D. kids sat at the back, open mouthed, thinking "how in hell are you people doing a Masters?"

It was horrific. I had more useful and informative lectures in my second year of undergrad from my old uni.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.
                          -Richard Dawkins
