Vesayen, but after Bush, I have little trust in the US Republican world.

None of the Republicans advocate small goverment, low taxes, less foreign interventionalism and the basis of our goverment built on a respect for the constitution, that our rights are sacrosanct and the entire reason we have a govmt to begin with.

Ron Paul does. I was so angry after the crap Bush has done and the congress did in colusion with him that vowed to never vote Republican again.

He is the only real Republican in he race, besides McCain, who has showed himself to be a political sell out and totaly gutless when he reversed his stances on many issues since his last run and become buddy buddy with Bush.

they used to be "liberal hawk" (which the unsubtle confuse with neocon) when Beinart was editor, and vaguely so all the years Peretz was publisher. But Peretz sold the mag, and they got a more regular liberal editor. At most its regular liberal, with a vague sympathy for its liberal hawk ex-friends.

Of course to some folks any mag with too many of a certain ethnicity on its masthead is "neocon". Or any mag that isnt hardline realist or anti-interventionist
