  • Vichy era joke

This joke will be posted here, cause its on topic, and this way i can post a link to it in OT without certain people going mad about threadjacking, hopefully.
Note, I read it in "Occupation: The Ordeal of France"

"Pierre, I heard a Jew killed a German officer last night about 9:15 on Blvd Hausman - and he ripped out his heart and ate it"

"No, thats impossible. First, Germans dont have hearts. Second, Jews dont eat pork. Third, everyone is listening to the BBC after 9:00"

It might be old, but it's new to me.

Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila
