                        My guess is that this was a normal slaying, aka in a rage or something like that and then he pulls the eating maneuver to try to convince the world he is crazy so he can try an insanity defense of some sort. The details sound staged after the fact and not planned before hand like a real cannibal would.
                        Anotherr possibility:
                        Slaying makes hungry. So he thought , why not combining a delicious meal with getting rid of pieces of evidence.
