But I did notice one odd thing, asians, who love seafood, live on the stuff - some of them kind of look like fish.
I am surprised that you condemn all seafood with one blanket generalization. I find that there is a fair bit of diversity in tastes and textures. While i dislike some seafood -- ie Tuna, sardines and am ambivalent about others-- ie salmon-- I have others I love -- scallops, cod for instance
I wonder if you have had very well prepared seafood that happened to fit your particular tastes-- IN a recent "chefs taster" meal I had:
Arctic Char and ****take Mushroom potsticker
Smoked sturgeon cake and Pickled pumpkin tartar
Rainbow trout with lemongrass marinade cauliflower risotto
Grilled lobster Tail with xato sauce, prosciutto powder
I loved it all but I would expect most people would like some of those choices. The choice of complimentary flavors really made for delicious combination
I have also detested some seafood-- I chose scallops (my most favorite fish dish) at a high end place and found that I really dislike them when they are done extra-rare
Now maybe you will always hate seafood-- but I have experienced such a diversity of great tasting seafood within the limitations of what I like that I find it shocking that anyone can dislike it all.

Seafod is great. I don't know what is wrong with you but I suspect it is simply a matter of being closed minded since there are a millio different ways to prepare it and each species has a different taste, texture, and smell (or lack there of).
I come from New Zealand and I live in Singapore; two countries famous for seafood.
In Singapore, a normal dinner consists of going to a restaurant and ordering about 5 different dishes consisting of different kinds of seafood, from shellfish, steamed fish, fried fish, scallops, fish eggs, abalone, etc. So I have tried it all; apart from the scallops and abalone, the rest smell/taste the same - salty and off; and don't think its not fresh, it is VERY fresh.
I have concluded that seafood is for people who have not fully evolved away from the fish stage.
Alone in his tiny plastic sea kayak, marine biologist Trey Snow had hoped to stealthily track a great white shark. But he had the shock of his life when he spotted a giant fin and realised it was he who was being stalked - by surely one of the most feared killers in the world. The magnificent creature initially dived to the seabed, inspecting the kayak from below
