I believe they generally are compatible, where the drivers are properly functional. However, for practical purposes I think it's generally considered best to stay away from x64 OS's because they provide little benefit at the moment and cause huge driver headaches.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

I use x64 with no problems. Civ4, C&C3, Supreme Commander, etc., ran fine before I uninstalled them for being crap.THEY!!111 OMG WTF LOL LET DA NOMADS AND TEH S3D3NTARY PEOPLA BOTH MAEK BITER AXP3REINCES

I have had only a few problems with my 32bit games on my new 64bit system, and those problems were usually caused by the video card (it's a laptop) rather than by the fact that it is a 64 bit system.
Of course, your 16-bit stuff won't run... and if your 32-bit game has an older, 16-bit installer, that's a problem too.Comment
