Serious and non serious suggestion welcome. It's a male dog. Seems to be a Australian type dog like Mad Max had (can't remember the exact breed name) mixed with german shepard.
Anyways I mentioned we were celebrating and exchanging gifts today instead of xmas as my brother was working. Usually we don't have time to unwrap gifts when brother works. So my brother brings over a puppy today. He's not a fresh puppy, he's about 4 months old, but still doesn't have a name. Though my sister in law has been calling him Charlie, but she's only had him for a day, so he's not set on that name.
From what I understand my sister-in- law's aunt found the dog in a park at about 2 months old. I guess they never found the owners. They got the dogs first shots, and got him chipped, but haven't turned in the paperwork (I have the paperwork and can turn it in with my address now). I guess they never named the dog. I sure hope the dog takes to a name this late in his development. They still don't have the dog spayed yet. It won't be easy for me to get the dog's testicles cut off, I've never had to do a thing like that before. I prefer female dogs, but oh well.
I don't know much about training dogs. This will be difficult. but he's pretty much house broken already. So the hard part is done. I'm not sure how to teach a dog to sit and stuff, but we'll see.
his colors are light brown and black, with a lot of white on his chest. I'll probably stick with Charlie even though it make it sound like he's NVA.
Emotionally it was a little sooner than I wanted a dog so soon after having to put my old dog to sleep. But I'll take him. He seems to be a good dog from what I've heard so far. Not sure how big he'll get though. I'm not a big fan of giant dogs.
