Just to clarify, NOT Sloww
This is about Slow-Motion (over)used in action sequences of movies. I think in many cases it's just bad, looks like if they didn't know what to do instead and by taking the tempo out of a certain scene it just gets more boring. Examples for overuse of SloMo techniques are the Matrix movies, and also 300 IMO, though both often change the tempo within a certain sequence. It's esp. strange in 300 where they use the same "rhytm" of going into slowmo, then accelerating quickly again during battles nearly all the time, as if someone would play with the speed slider, but in a very monotone way.
Faster action (primary example: Gladiator) looks much more realistic and simply gives a more intense feeling of what's going on.
SloMo sucks. Down with it!
