A doctor in the UK has conducted a study and concluded that the lifestyle of medieval peasants was healthier then the one westerners live today. Lots of vegitables, lots of physical labor, and a diet low in saturated fats. Of course, he also over looked the life of crushing poverty and an average life expectancy of 35.

Oerdin, this has gone on long enough. I am sick and tired of your games, you have attempted to discredit a scientist for the last time. Admit your ignorance and sign off, drink a cup of coffee and sing a song about your religion to the campfire. I simply do not care, as long as it is something that has nothing to do with me.

Didn't most peasents live almost entirely off of bread and other grain based foods? Even if you don't believe in red meat, you need SOME meat.
There was also that bit about rival lords raping/beating you after burning down your farmhouse. If I step out of my house and a brick kills me, it was due to my lifestyle? Maybe in the eyes of religious fundamentalists, but not in my book.Last edited by Patroklos; December 18, 2007, 10:10."The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Okay guys, this isn't a study - it's just a random family doctor with an opinion.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

This 'study' is typical attention-seeking band-waggoning bullcrap. ZOMG modern life is teh baaaadnesss, mmkay?
"modern eating habits are dominated by biscuits, cake and sweets."
Dominated? I don't think so. That's hysterical overkill. I doubt many here have a diet 'dominated' by sugar.
The life of a middle-age peasant was one of unremitting misery, squalor and serfdom, punctuated by plague, crop-failure and witch-hunts.

Microwaves, they're only a few feet long. Meh. You know what's worse than microwaves ... radio waves. Some of those ****ers are miles long ... you can be walking down the street, minding your own business, and BAM! you hit a radio wave that goes from 16th street all the way to 33rd street. ESPN AM-1000 just nailed you with their wave, and you're going to be feeling the angry banter of Yurko and Harry for another twenty minutes of walking.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
