John Travolta got his start there.

Wait. Do you know of John Travolta?

Similar in what way, liturgy, theological philosophy? Wouldn't the Presbyterian Church be more similar to the United Church of Christ or the Chuch of the Bretheran than to the United Methodist Church?

In the past few years the Protestant Episcopal Church has worked out intercommunion agreements with the Prebyterain Church of the USA and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the USA. This month the Anglican Communion reached a similar agreement with the Methidist churches in the US and Britain, yet as far as I knwo there is no similar agreement between the methodists and the Presbyterians.

Look, let me straighten this out for the last time.

I'm a Methodist, not a Presbyterian. I have no idea about anything concerning Chuch of the Bretheran, and very little of the Church of Christ. I at least knew Church of Christ existed.

My ancestors were Scot and Irish, not German or anything else.

I'm going to find a good site to see about Christian comparisons.

            Well, that was seemingly easy.

Well how on God's green earth would you come up with a comprehensive objective system for rating the relative "closeness" of Protestant denominations?

Let's put it this way. There are a lot of folks who would like to frag our furry little Episcopalian butts for consecrating a gay bishop. You Methodists however actually have a transgender clergyperson who has recently completed his/her gender transformation. Face it, on a kinkiness scale we're pretty close.

I don't believe in denominations. We are after all, just God's people.

I'm just protestant because I like to protest about stuff and thats it.
