I've been down there a couple of times, most recently 2 years ago. I think the famous bar you're thinking of is Jimmy Buffett's "Margaritaville", Lancer.

I love the Keys! I'd retire there if i thought I could handle hurricaine season -- but I don't.

Krill, I was born in NYC which is in NY state and went back a few times, but not upstate.

Rufus, maybe sometime we'll take the ladies, fly into Miami, rent a van and go for a ride. Nice to dream anyway.

Van, schman; last time I did this, we flew to Miami, rented a convertible, and cruised the Keys with sunglasses on and music blaring. That may have been the coolest I've ever felt.

Been in Orlando, Tampa and St Petersburg. Never been to the Keys.
