  • Today I had to repremand Dolores's young cousin for getting an 80 on her report card

However I was lousy at school in Jersey where survival was the true measure and an 80 would have been one of my better grades. So, it feels strange to play the bothered elder, but we pay her college. Might as well get our $ worth.

It takes a village to raise a child.

Besides that, we pay her college, and her sister. The parents are poor.

You can't undo an 80. Her parents should disown her.

My parents would whine about B's as well. Thought if I applied myself more, I could easily get straight A's.

Still, trig in college? I guess it is fine if it is some sort of basic course for freshmen who have no intention of ever having more math. Or using math.

Note: Jon Miller took Calc 4 and Diffy Q, so his knowledge of what is needed for most people in math is a bit skewed.
