    Black Friday Deals

    I worked Friday morning, so i was unable to even think about going for some of the amazing deal that happened early in the morning.

    However... my brother was in town from the Twin Cities and said he was going to go to Best Buy for one of their 5 am deals.

    19" LCD Wide screen Computer Monitor for $99.

    "Hmm..." I said when he told me. "My monitor took a poop about 2 months ago and I need a new one. Grab me one too."



    I'm sitting here with my new monitor. Wow... and I though my 17" Standard LCD was nice...

    Only problem... I have a dead pixel.

    It's about 3" from the left and 2" from the top. Oh well... you get what you pay for... although I will be contacting them tommarrow.

    Anybody else out there get any great deals on Black Friday?

    I bought online. It was terrific. A digital camera for my daughter, after the acclaimed Black Friday Specials were sold out of their 1 onhand at the 2 stores I went to, like an idiot.

                        Don't bother buying an LCD monitor smaller then 22 inches. A really good quality 22" monitor can be had for as little as $169.95 now.

                        Oh, and Costco was selling a 46" Vizio brand 1080p LCD TV for just $1500 with a coupon. While a top of the line Westinghouse 52" 1080p set can be bought for just $2299. The Westinghouse TX series is supposedly the second best large LCD flat screen on the market after Sony's Wega but the Wega costs $3500 and the Westinghouse is 99% as good for $1200 less.

                          What about for people who don't really celebrate Christmas, aside from with a few friends?

                          I made out like a bandit on Black Friday myself . A nice Le Creuset skillet for 25% off its already reduced price, a couple Lucky Brand Jeans for $75 when regular price is $100+, a couple long sleeve Polo Ralph Lauren shirts, and various other small things (including a nice Geoffrey Bean cotton jacket for half off at $25).
