Also, MOBIUS, I have had a lot of pain and agony built up until that day, about 15 years worth, which i have never let out before. I literally cried for days straight, even at work in front of my boss after that. Your silly remarks about my love life and eventis commiting suicide or whatever just set me over the edge. It could have been anybody or anything which would have offended me. That was the trigger which broke me so-to-speak. All that pain I had, all that sadness is gone now and i assure you, and everybody, that i feel a LOT better and my posts/actions will show it. I have been asked why i take these forums so seriously, its because i get emotionally attached to the posters/people i talk to after a while. i know your "personnas," i know and can assume what you mean when you say different things, and i know some of yalls history (or what you have told.) This truly is a community, online or not, and i have had such reactions before although not as serious.

So, now that i am free-of-mind, yes i apologize and i know you did not mean any harm.

Obviously there can be no going back to your days as a 'flame-lord', because we all have your health at heart, and any undue excitement might plunge your recovery into reverse.

i truly appreciate that, whether you mean it or not. I actually think about you guys all the time at work and elsewhere...

Either way I would appreciate you setting the record straight now that you are feeling better...

PS- JON MILLER- YES that was me i posted with a dog. i have lost a lot of weight now and am a little embarrased at my thin-gauntness. I hardly eat regular meals anymore even if i try. that might be the depression that might be the fact that i lived off pennies off the dollar in my younger years and i never snapped my brain out of the survival-mode.

Well, in hindsight for my part I suppose I can understand how even the tiniest thing could have set you off, but I’m sure you can see now that my joke about your virginity in your ‘I’ve been screwed’ thread is just a friendly bit of banter. And the committing suicide comment in my ‘Eventis is Boring’ thread was only the 3rd option of three in a thread that wasn’t even directed at you at all. No one had to take that option, I can’t even remember the other two options because I’m banned from even looking at the threads – but it was obviously a joke…

You really do have to take a step back and not take things seriously, or to heart. Most people are just having a laugh, and those that aren’t you shouldn’t give them the satisfaction that they’re actually hurting you. Really you should avoid getting into those situations, especially now people that might prey on you out of spite know your weaknesses.

I do mean it. But you have to realise what I (and Elok) am saying: That is that you can never go back to your swaggering I’m-all-that flame-lord persona now that you have appealed to our sympathy. Because if you do go back to your old ways and find that a few weeks down the line that things are not going your way on the forums and then this situation happens again, I for one will believe you are crying Wolf because you can’t have it both ways – either you are the Teflon-coated flame-lord who eats trolls for breakfast, or you’re the vulnerable poster we need to treat with kid gloves and be nice to.

I expect the real reason they banned me was obviously because I said their site was boring, and your outburst was most likely the excuse they needed to enact the ban. I don’t know because the only official communication I’ve had is that I was banned ‘for being unfunny’, which as this thread has established is frankly a compliment! I’ve no idea what’s been written behind my back because apparently when you’re banned from Eventis you can even read the threads.

I guess the biggest irony is how owners of the Eventis used to claim foul of the draconian measures of Poly, and are actually far worse in all respects! It is one of the cliqueyest sites I’ve ever seen with its endless popularity contests just to be able to post in certain parts of the site like the parliament where they can talk about banning people without those people being able to respond. About the only thing you can do there that you can’t on Poly is choke it with all kinds of childish spam – as long as it’s ‘funny’, of course…

Tell you what AAHZ, let’s call their bluff. If I was banned for accidentally setting you off, now that you’ve accepted there was no malicious intent on my part why not post a thread calling for my release from exile? I’m sure they’d be more than happy to oblige – otherwise we will know the real reason…
