Someone explain to me why "diversity" is good.

Obviously most will agree racial/cultural discrimination is bad and a diverse society may prevent discrimination.

Other then that, so what? What possible value does it have? I really fail to see any.

2) Inducing people to rethink prejudiced attitudes.

There is a big difference between everyone looking and thinking alike and different ethnic, racious and religious groups living in a perfect proportion to each other.

There is a big difference between every human being a clone and the perfectly diverse world where any given geographic area has 5 sweedes, 5 chinese, 5 pakistanis etc.

Not having diversity does not mean we will all be clones.

Without a diverse society, I probably wouldn't be born. Though some might use that as an argument against diversity.
