  • Englands best export: Singers

I am finding a common trend with singers that I really enjoy listening to, and that is they mostly come from England; what is the reason?

Movies from America, Music from England; is that how it goes?

Not a lot of good ones were created post y 2000... my impression is a lot less than before, currently there is a lot of good music coming from older bands/artists

the three I can think of straight
    Artic Monkeys
    Amy Winehouse
    Coldplay
OK & Franz Ferdinand all post y 2000...

    who else?
Socrates: "Good is That at which all things aim, If one knows what the good is, one will always do what is good." Brian: "Romanes eunt domus"
GW 2013: "and juistin bieber is gay with me and we have 10 kids we live in u.s.a in the white house with obama"

Well Led Zeppelin is a band, not a singer .

My point still stands. Plant is awesome.

I can't think of any English singers right now. They tend to have whiney style of singing I really disagree with. This was especially bad in the "alternative" era of the 90's. I liked bands such as Bush, but the singer wasn't that great. Radiohead has a couple songs I like, but the whiney style singing gets old fast.

I can't think of any modern English singers, but that's probably because I don't pay attention to commercial radio anymore.
