If someone makes a thread to debate something, it seems to me that people like Zoid should give the people who read the article on another site, then copied it here and edited it for pleasant reading (= me), the courtesy of a response that is more than: "Yadda Yadda, Yadda, Here you go complaining again, silly joos" like Zoid did. He also used much of the same words.

I did not feel Zoid's response was as serious as Arrian's or Aeson's, and responded in a similar non-serious manner (+ trolling).

I hope you form your opinion based on my more serious responses.
You're right that my response wasn't as serious as it could have been (and would have been only 5 years ago) but I don't see anything in this article that hasn't been discussed to death already here and everywhere else. It's old news...

Have I lived in a lie?

I think that nationalism is the natural evolvement of liberal thought.

I have a few articles (that I'm too lazy to find right now) that claim a similar point - that nationalism was enabled by liberalism (just like capitalism).

Your other responses seemed more rational. That's why the use of that heavy handed manifesto quote got my attention.
..there are known ‘knowns’ There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. ~~Donald Rumsfeld

          I agree.
But am I still free to troll you just for that reason.

Had you been a new guy, I would have addressed you differently.

And I think that blaming joos for being "toosensitive" over people trying to convince other people to cancel their state, is a bit unfair.

Had someone trumpeted the idea of cancelling your state, you'd get all defensive too.

And you did, way back when

True, but the difference between Sweden and Israel is quite great creation wise...

You can be sorry for both.

Yet the line of discussion started with Arrian saying, "Questioning the legitimacy of the state of Israel =! anti-semitism." That "questioning" clearly being in context of the foundation, not continued existence.

I wouldn't be too defensive about it as long as we were getting something decent in it's stead. The US government could use a rather massive makeover at this point.

A trivia point unrelated to the discussion but AFAIR the Japanese of today are 30%-ish pre-invasion in their genetic makeup, so not exactly totaly destroyed.

You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

sadly, very little people read my posts

Yet the line of discussion started with Arrian saying, "Questioning the legitimacy of the state of Israel =! anti-semitism." That "questioning" clearly being in context of the foundation, not continued existence.
It sorta got out of hand.

He spoke of it's foundation conditions as an important reason for it to stop it's existance.

If someone thinks it was wrong to be set up, but he doesn't want to destroy it now, then I won't argue (in this thread )

I wouldn't be too defensive about it as long as we were getting something decent in it's stead.
Well a state is not like a house.

"Let's destroy this one. We'll give a new one, free, right there!!"

Some people get emotionally attached to their houses
