internet stores and framed posters

Any good sites?

I was just checking out art.com, it has some pretty cool stuff but when you want frames with it, it suddenly becomes kind of expensive. Like 20 euros for the poster, and then 160 for the framing.

Do you know any services that would frame your stuff cheap?

Well not necessarily framed posters, can be paintings as well, canvas' and so forth. Just something relatively cheap but still cool as hell to decorate your place with.

If we're talking the U.S., I can see why it would be so expensive, considering all the framers have been dead for nearly 200 years, if not more..

As for art.com, shipping costs probably play a large part. It has to be way costlier to ship a fully framed poster than a rolled-up one. But it is relatively expensive. I had my Civ II poster framed - very nicely, granted - and it cost me as much as the game itself.

I bet you can find a local framer in Finland, so it's a no-brainer: buy the poster online, ask them to fold it 13 times for cheaper shipping and frame it when it arrives.

Right. I mean... framing can't cost that much if you settle for something OK. It's like 100 euros per average size poster. It's too much IMO. Posters themselves are OK priced, so if I'd get like 3 or 4 of them, they would cost little over 100 euros, but framed and everything, S&H, would go closer to 700-1000 euros. So...I think I'd rather pay that 100+ euros and I think it doesn't cost many hundreds to get them framed. I don't know what it costs, but I don't think it's THAT expensive

Still.. oh well. But I like them canvas work they have there, they aren't even that expensive. I'd like one of them sets, that is a combination of many pieces. I'd like one set like that, a big one.
