I've been reading about the inner workings of brain in the last couple of days, really fascinating stuff even though I don't know much about it. Then I watched this documentary called What the bleep do we know. I guess it was OK, but the point is, it tried to explain how certain feelings etc are associated to things, so experiences and attitudes play a huge role in how we see certain things. Nothing new so far. It went on explaining that the neurological fact would be, that we keep doing the same things. As in we live yesterday over and over again, looking for the same feelings that we are addicted to. This applies not only thrills but also sadness and so forth. And as we do that, we are reinforcing the ways some weird little gizmos in our brain connect things, so we are literally reinforcing things over and over again.
Then there was this scenario, where people supposedly think they suck, or hate themselves.
Now this part struck me as odd. I reflected it on myself, I have never thought that I suck or hate myself. And they put it out there like it's something everyone does. Well I don't do that. Why would I think I suck? I'd much rather rule.
What about you, do you rule or suck?
