That Slate list is awful. Half of those are not even funny or interesting.

This one in particular is perfectly reasonable:

"All of us in America want there to be fairness when it comes to justice."

Wallsten: All right, I'll keep it, then.
Bush: For the viewers, there's no sun.

      Bush: Touché.

Pure win. I don't even care about the reporter being legally blind. That is just a humorous denoughment.

so he's a bad speaker, and he confuses words, or says silly things. But everyone knew way before he was elected for the first time.

Such an impediment does not necessarily hinder one's thinking. i'm sure than in 50 years he'll be remembered as an important president.

Yes. Important in the respect that the mess the US will be in at that time can be traced back to this moron.

And true, the impediment doesn't hinder thinking, but W is an idiot regardless.

dontcha know now? The new PC civ games have chinese dams instead. No one seems to mind the death toll and people displaced in building that dam.

While granted, if you speak in public often over a decade it's usually easy to find many times where words slipped, but have to admit that bush has always been quite impressive in this regard

I heard that Bush has done very few press conferences though. Especially compared to Clinton who did one like every 2 weeks .

I don't like a pres who doesn't speak in public. Makes me think he has something to hide.

If I were him, I would try to appear in front of the press as little as possible

If I were him, I'd kill myself. I'd kill Cheney first for obvious reasons. hmm wait a minute, isn't Pelosi 3rd on the list? Better get her as well.

There's a reason why he was called slick willie. He had the gift. Bush does not. hmm slick willie and limp bush, it seems somewhat backwards.

                                How about:
"Fooled me once, shame on me.
Fooled me twice...er...we won't be fooled again."
