    Your Mission: Take Over The World.

    Ok, I give you a serious mission, that you must explain in detail and step by step how you will achieve world domination -- that means taking control of the world - not destroying it.

    You are allowed to be one of the following countries:

    Russia
    UK
    US
    China
    Germany
    Japan

    You can use nukes, but don't forget, your actions will cause effects, so for example, if you nuke Paris, that will obviously cause a nuke coming your way, so how will you deal with it?

    First atempt

    US:

    1.Pour vast resources into SDI
    2.Encourage the UK, Poland and Italy to block any change in the EU.
    3. Double military budget
    4. Complete the transition to fascist state
    5. Encourage anti-Latin sentiments, formalize the treatment of Spanish speakers as second class citizens and use the catholic church to keep them in line
    6. Reach a secret agreement with Russia (carving up interest zones and ceding all of Asia except Japan and the middle east as their interest sphere, knowing full well they won't be able to reach full control)
    7.Set up a despotic state in Iraq leaving only military bases
    near the Iranian border, allow non-formalized Turkish control of the Kurdish region... in excange for their support...


    Before I continue, could you please tell me the results of my actions?

      It would probably be far more effective to continue to play on the belief that we can "fix" the world. You know, we're HELPING the poor sobs. So you don't demonize Latin Americans or anyone else. Only their leadership, which we must replace.

          I rather think it would take more than that. You have to have a strategy for getting the US out of your way so that you can take over Japan/Korea, and also squash Russia without getting nuked (too badly).

            Yes, off course we can help them...
            teach them English... I'd play the melting pot card amd say to people its ok to have Spanish roots as long as you are assimilated and American (this incidentaly gives you full rights)... The illegal immigrants (or the ones with citizenship that are making a fuss) would have to be censused for *security* reasons and declared tax free labor with minimal rights...job advantages and rights would be available for just a tiny lie... I'd encourage the demonization of Cuba, Venezuela and point out that it is in their best interest to join the US.

            I'd possibly even fake a terrorist attack by neo-Marxist Bolivian extremists... that would tap into commie fears, and those are always in the ruling elites best interest...

                Step one would probably to make Puerto Rico a state (whether they want it or not!). Then offer a union to Mexico. I'd go the other way wrt language: go dual English/Spanish.

                Then... Panama? Some sort of incident with the Canal would probably do the trick.

                Bah. This is all too absurd. Actually taking over the world is a fools game.

                  But there are soo many fools who want to play... and some have almost made it...

                  BTW you're idea is good... but I think Mexico should be held as a puppet state... I would force a union with Canada however...

                      That's simple. China can wreck the US economy any day it chooses. Once that happens it is just a few short years until the only thing left that makes the US a player is its nukes. By then all the damage we have done to our international reputation will come back to haunt us as the world makes it clear that the nukes stay in the silos.

                      China's economic policies in Africa, the Middle East, The Pacific Rim, and South America will come to fruition with all of these areas falling under de facto Chinese economic control as the US leaves an economic vacuum. Europe, being so closely tied to the fallen US economy, will be in deep recession or depression and very intoverted in its perspective.

                      The Russians will see the coming danger and eithier make the best deal they can with the Chinese or they will fight an intense and destructive boarder war that will leave millions of Chinese dead and the Russian economy in complete shambles. China pushes through these losses as they were mainly among the peasants as China took extraordinary steps to protect the cities and industrial base.

                      The European recovery will be based mainly on Chinese funds and soon Europe falls under the economic domination of China in a way that far exceeds the way they fell under US economic domination. China now controls the vast majority of the worlds natural resources and uses them to exert political pressure and control worldwide.

                          You have simply described the 1990's with a major war more and china instead of the US...

                          Tell me what happens when that two figure economic growth stops and the aging of population begins...

                          And why doesn't Russia nuke China in you're scenario?

                              Hitler if he would have been smart, Stalin if America didn't have nukes, Napoleon if he would have delt with Britain before invading Russia... The USA if they would have been smart about the Soviet collapse...
