I forgot to link my source. It came from the "World Watch" section of their news...

I got lost looking for the "Weird News" and stumbled across that instead.

Wow, when VP Cheney went on a personal hunting trip on upstate New York, a co-hunter on his trip chose an un-chic flag which the writer of the article does NOT approve! This is almost as big of a scandal as when VP Cheney selected an un-chic jacket to wear in a funeral ceremony held in a freezing cold weather few years ago. Slate made it their front page story then, too. Clearly it was much more important than how Cheney has used his administration ties to channel billions of dollars of US government money to buy weapon supplies from a company which Cheney has been a CEO of and owns a large share of stocks of during the on-going Iraq war (case Halliburton, which was then uncovered but never really caught on).
How is this something that only the democrats do? Have you forgotten the Swift-boat scandal, Edwards' haircut, the entire Clinton presidency? This is just standard politics.

If the noise from the partisan Democratic side would be better organised, they'd concentrate on the real scandals. By drumming up fake scandals like this one and calling them "controversies", they're swifting attention away from the scandals which would net them votes. They're, in effect, reducing the incentive of the government party to a competent and non-corrupt governing.

This is not good for the general public, since it means corruption, cronyism and incompetence doesn't get kicked out. Why should it, when the admin doesn't get severely hurt from the scandals that'll follow? Chances are that the independent voters are too confused by these fake scandals to be affected by them.

Republicans and their establishment media supporters would never try to pump up a smear story this lame.

One confederate flag does not mean Cheney hangs around with racists. More likely he hangs around with one South Carolinian ... and regardless:

              1. Lots of people there had no connection to Cheney.

You heard it here first, folks. Oerdin just referred to Cheney as "innocent." Quick! Alert the media!

                    ??? No he didn't.

I'm disappointed; I was hoping he'd shot another old lawyer in the face, but no, he just went hunting and got Sharpton's panties in a knot. Big deal. Sharpton expresses outrage every time he hears somebody ordering a "black Russian" at the bar.
