I bought myself a new iPod Nano a couple of days ago. I'm starting out by importing songs from my CD collection, but only the ones I really listen to and then I will soon be shopping for more tunes at iTunes.

I have yet to get one. But I have no use for a portable music player. I have a car (with a stereo of course). I have yet to get an ipod. I guess I'm 20th century. These would have been awesome when I was in the navy, I had to rely on cd's for overseas cruises. Back in my day, we didn't have such modern conveniences as ipods.

I'm trying to get used to the control feature where you slide your finger over the center button (like a TINY finger pad); it seems a little tricky right now to precisely move the highlighting to where I want to go before selecting something.
Is there a way to change the control interface so that I can move the highlighting differently? If not, I'm sure I can get used to this.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

I thought you were joking about buying from iTunes. Remember that you won't be able to play your songs bought from iTunes on anything other than iTunes and iPod. Also, I think Amazon.com's music store is cheaper.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. Well since I have an iPod, I don't think I will have compatibility problems with music from itunes.
And good point about other sources that offer songs at lower prices. Do you ever use napster.com?A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

I didn't think napster was compatible with itunes (at least for its monthly service).
Amazon and a few others (Walmart f.e.) are cheaper, but have more limited selection. Often it's best to find the song you want, see if amazon/walmart/etc. have it, and then if not, itunesUnless you're lazy anyway and don't mind $.30 extra for the convenience of one service (though you'll sometimes have to do multiple anyway, some artists are "exclusive").
