  • Halloween Trick or Treat - How old is too old?

At what age should "kids" cease going door to door and start more adult activities instead (parties, etc).

In my family trick or treat was for the "little" ones. My cutoff was around 13.

    What say you?

        Sarcasm noted.

This could encompass the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, etc.

At what age do kids need to leave these things behind?

You'd look pretty silly tagging along with the kids when you are twenty-five...

I think you will find it increasingly uncool. Why aren't you going to a Halloween party?

you cannot put trick-or-treating and santa/toothfairy in the same category!!! believing in nonsense should end at ~8 years old. trick-or-treating doesn't have you believing in fake things.

            pshhh. i'll look very cool.

i'm not allowed to. i'm like on house arrest by my parents. gahh.
i'll prolly go to a midnight party tho. i don't know.

I stopped after age 12, but I still got to take my little brother around for another year or two, so I got treats anyway.

                I'd go with that.

You're right, I guess he'd have no problem with this form of age discrimination since only the young benefit. Meanwhile poor unfortunate geezers like myself get the shaft.

I don't believe in halloween. Candy is a year round thing, thank you very much.

I think the oldest I did trick or treat was about age five. Mind you, I'd lived in N. Ireland before then where it was more common than here. It's probably illegal these days. Most things are.
