  • Separated at birth: Chris Crocker as Bridget?

The first of an occasional series wherein Allie Cove points out random associations from pop culture. Because she is bored.

    Chris Crocker

Here's Chris Crocker, an Internet personality who dresses and acts in a fairly girlish way. He has blonde hair and is quite effeminate, and is an avowed homosexual out of the closet.

Leapt to infamy after a teary rambling rant on Youtube urging viewers to "leave Britney alone". Crocker bears a stronger-than-most resemblance to Britney.

Just in case you haven't seen it, the Youtube video:

Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

    Bridget

Here's Bridget, a character from the Guilty Gear fighting games.

The story goes that he was born into a family where twins were viewed as unlucky. So his twin brother was raised as a boy, and he himself was sent to a convent and raised as a girl instead.

Leapt to infamy after many gamers apparently thought Bridget was actually a girl and developed a crush on her. Since then, Bridget is apparently a "gateway character" for dudes to realize they're gay. On places like 4chan and other anime-topic messageboards, a meme of "everybody is gay for Bridget" has arisen. Of which this is only one example:

It wouldn't really take much to do it. All you'd need would be some flowy nun robes and a yo-yo and Crocker would be the next Bridget - voila!

...and every man would be gay for him. Apparently.

    Chris Crocker isn't a nun...

Bridget looks a lot more manly in the first picture than the second.

His femininity is kind of ruined with that stubble on his upper lip.

Is Nridget the one who fights with her/his hair?

I always thought Guilty Gear was utterly weird.
