That´s all the fault of Bollywood.

Americans for unknown reasons seem to love filmstars as high ranking politicans (see Reagan or Arnold) and Bobby looks somehow similar to the Bollywood-Star Shah-Rukh Khan, thats why they elected him.

Go ahead and give DD a Canadian history question from the 1800's Lul Thyme. He's US educated, he'll know the answer.

I would assume that the equivilant event here for you people would be the birth of the Canadian nationalist identity arrissing from the mistaken belief that you were the main objective/cause of the War of 1812.

I was thinking we should ask you about Lord Durham's report. Tell us what you know (no cheating with wiki or other sources).

While Reconstruction was important to US history, on this side of the border we were preoccupied with Confederation around that time. This ranks as a slightly more important event in our history.

I'd say that the two events are hardly comparable. Given that Durham's report dealt with how to deal with whiny French Canadians, it hardly compares to the scar left by the Civil War. Also we're your neighbor and the regional hegemon, I hardly think its unreasonable to know at least the basics of US history.
