Its going to suck no doubt about it, nothing new about that, what worries me is that it might be Soooo bad that it causes the Trek franchise to suffer a total warp core breach and literally ends the commercial viability of the franchise both on TV and in theaters. I'm sure lots of people will say that can never happen but look at how badly things have gone in the last series and the mediocre Nemesis movie. Contrast that with the success of a broad range of Sci-Fi series and movies based on either original or far less worn out Franchises. Ask yourself are you so jaded that you've already decided Not to see this unless its recommended by a trusted source, I know I have.
If I somehow had god-like powers to determine ware the Trek Franchise Treked these would be my top three projects.

It isn't nesessary to see the plot first. By the cast list it is ovious they are aiming to make a farce. Perhaps Nemoy is involved just to ensure that final nail is hammered in good.
