  • Legitimate copy of xp

My puter currently has a activated copy of windows. You know, legit. I have a creepy feeling, like a thousand flies drawling my arms and back. Is this what its like to be a drone in 1984?!

    Let me out

You could post your cd-key and soon enough your copy of windows won't be considered legit...

Windows is like a rubber band.

No one buys it, but everyone has one somewhere.

I've gotten all my copies of Windows after Win95 legally as they were bundled with new computers I bought. When I was a teenager without much income I did use my best friend's copy of Win95 to install Win95 on the family computer when Win95 was the lastest thing. Also I believe my dad first installed Windows 3.11 on our home machine using the back up disks from a copy his employer purchased.

I haven't ever payed for a nonMS operating system. I briefly tried IBM's OS/2 around 1993-1994 but dropped it after a week or two because it wouldn't play one of the games I owned. I also briefly tried Linux on my PC when I was in college but I was to lazy to really figure out Linux and switched back to Windows in very short order.

Now some of the nonOS stuff from MS gets illegally copied all the time. I don't know a single person who paid for Office 2007 yet some how everyone seems to have it.

I once had a copy of windows98 that a friend of mine that owned a computer shop let me use. Other than that, everything has been preloaded.

Hell, the laptop my father gave me way back in 2000 (which I still own but rarely use as it is antique) used Windows ME which was a complete piece of crap OS. I was to lazy to switch the OS though so to this day that is what is on it. I bet most people are to lazy to switch OSs.
