To be fair, its super hard to make logic "fun". You'd have to be a spectacular lecturer to pull it off.

What's the point of a class on logic? Aren't all people born with an innate understanding of it?“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”

And, as a serious reply to a frivolous comment, it's a class on specific formalized logical systems (mostly it covers propositional calculus and first-order logic, I don't know how far we're going to go into type theory later), not "logic" as some abstract concept. It's a class in the math department.

I just assumed that many people may choose to forgo logic in order to promote their own personal agendas.Originally posted by Kuciwalker

Poly aside, in the general population there's no shortage of people who have no grasp of logic to begin with, thinking and acting entirely based on emotional impulse. Any episode of Cops should suffice to prove that.Originally posted by DaShi
