  • A Pal-O-Mine is engaged to one of Dolores's cousins!

In about 6 months she should have her visa and be able to fly with us when we go back. Neat thing is, she'll be living in our town in Florence so Dolores will have family nearby.

The guy I've known for a couple years, decent fella. About now he should be arriving back in the US after visiting with us. He'll be busy for a few days getting his paperwork in order.

This evening we said bye to the cousin as well as she will go back to work until her paperwork arrives.

All our fiesta guests are gone, and peace has returned.

    Ahhh...

Well it's always nice to hear of people entering into holy visamony.

Do you have any other very sexy ladies around? I'm already married but I figure I could use a mistress.

I'm troubled by this wezil popping business. I don't think wezil approves.

You forgot that Filapinas from out Dolores's way have to be accompanied by chaperones when they go out with verminous scum such as us.

Zkrib, not to worry. I knew this thread would attract the wisecracks, np. Thanks to you and Markos for your kind words.

I know well what the happy couple are going through right now. This time apart so soon after having found each other is very difficult. When Dolores and I went through it I could not endure the waiting. After my paperwork was complete, sent and approved and my part done I took the $ I'd earned since returning, borrowed some more and flew back to the Philippines to wait with Dolores for her paperwork to arrive. As Zkrib mentioned, though engaged we were not yet married so if we went somewhere together we had a chaperone, in the evenings we said our goodnights and parted company until the morning. Though dificult, I firmly believe that this is good for the marriage and the foundation that has us together stronger than ever, having just celebrated in grand style our tenth aniversary last week.

My friend and Dolores's cousin are well matched. She is 40, though she looks 30, he is a very healthy 49.

Two very decent human beings are brought together, and for all the right reasons. The women here seek men who are good providers, and filipinas love romance. Like it was in our grandmothers time. The men seek women who will be loyal, dedicated, and cooperative. A true partner for life. Usually they have stories of contentious western women who have left deep emotional and financial scars, and are just looking for a good woman to share life with. If they could find such in the US they would, but such is not so easy to find in our world. Material girls there are plenty, but being made wise by experience has good men looking elsewhere. So they see Dolores and I and we are quite the team! They want what we have.

So, now we have two more happy people in the world, and one more silly thread in the OT.

                        Things to celebrate!

I think I have been vindicated by that post Lancer. You are match making.

Sorry to joke in your thread.

I think you realise my intentions weren't nasty though....

I should send you the specs for the model of wife I'm looking for. See what you have on the lot.
