Biofuels? Growing them will increase food prices, and stomachs must come before cars
Whats with the BS ragging on this? Corn prices have already risen in the USA partly due to increased biofuel efforts.

Its easy to deny this on teh internet, a little harder in reality where dollars can be counted
if you want to stop terrorism; stop participating in it

The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila

green issues are increasingly being hijacked by those in power as an excuse to bilk us out of more money, and interfere with our lives. so it's no surprise that a certain level of cynicism towards 'environmentalism' is developing.

I don't buy the argument "save a tree" for the environment. Trees are an industrial crop, that are harvested and replanted. It's like saying "drink less beer" to save some straws.

But if they were all as developed as we are, the earth's resources would be depleted almost instantaneously. Fact of the matter is that the world's grossly overpopulated at the moment. Maybe technology can provide us with more breathing space, but today it remains a bit far-fetched that technology will give us an answer to all our environmental problems.
If we want them to become more developed, we in the developed world have to be willing to pay the price. Any fool knows that the world can't sustain another billion of say North American consumers.

To many Green-types follow a form of moronic ludditism known as Deep Ecology. You know them, the naive fools who think technology in and of itself is the problem and thus can't be a solution and that the only real solution is to live like the Amish. Technogaian Green-types like myself detest that luddite crap.
