Anyone suggested adopting English as the national language yet?

Traianvs, thanks for the input. In fact, now I feel more sympathetic to the Flemish cause. Before, I used to think more along the lines "oh, those evil Flemish; what else do they need..."

On the contrary, it is rather possible. Europe will just become predominantly Muslim.

But yes. Russia will become predominately Muslim too. It will be renamed into the Golden Horde once again. I just hope Russian will survive as the state language and the Russian statehood will survive too (even if as the Golden Horde). Recently, a Russian translation of the Koran has been approved by a high body of Muslim theologians (I don't remember exactly its name). This translation is due to a Russian woman who married a Syrian and has been living in Syria for the last 20 years. In fact, it's a huge success. Translating the Koran appears to be a formidable task. There have been many attempts at Russian translation. But no one has been good enough to be officially recognized. Yet this woman succeeded where others failed. I am just telling this to show that Russia is getting prepared for its unavoidable future.

As with people who speak English, French speaking speaking people are unable to learn a second language.

Never noticed how very few Frenchies there are on 'Poly for example ? Actually, I'm pretty sure that most - if not all - Belgians here are from the north (or centre).

most important part of Belgian heritage: the waffle.

For the last time, we don't do waffles, it's a tourist thing. I can't remember the last time I ate one and have no desire to do so.

Feel free to refute my clichés

Nah, I'm pretty much on your site here.

Meh, should have gone for the hat-trick last century, too late now.

If Flemish is teh same as Dutch,

It isn't, it's more like English and American.
