  • Have Things Improved?

So I've been out of touch for a while. Been busy, you know how that goes. One thing I have little desire to do now that I'm around again is get into pointless debates with people who simply want to argue for it's own sake. Also, I like to think I'm a bit more open-minded than I was before, so I'd rather listen than spout bull****.

That said, time for more of a fun/social poll. One thing I remember from my time on here, starting years ago (gosh, I must have been 17 or so when I first started posting), was that many of us had ****ty personal lives. We couldn't get a girlfriend/get laid, we hated our jobs, we were big dorks, we were just misunderstood, etc. Now that we're all older and presumably wiser, I'm curious - do you consider your personal life to be better, worse, or the same, than it was 3 years ago?

Good point. Meeting functioning alcoholics like myself gives hope to everyone - you, too, can drink like a fish and yet still be basically competent

When you find yourself arguing with an idiot, you might want to rethink who the idiot really is.

OK then, new ATX Poly meet up - I propose starting at Shoal Creek Saloon, and progressing from there! Date and attendees TBD...

It's called adolescence. Everyone gets it. Most get over it.

True, but then again most teenagers don't spend their time on Internet forums such as, I dunno, https://apolyton.net/forums

My life is pretty much the same as 3 years ago... except I'm 3 years older. So I guess worse. Not that age has started to kick in much physically... but I'm closer to when it will.

Someone once questioned me about giving a kid such a hard time. My contention was, and is, you weren't a kid, you were a young man.
It makes a difference. I gave you more credit than they, or you, gave you.

                            Thank you? I think?

I do see your point. Mine simply was, how is everyone doing, a few years later?
