Now she missed court. Clearly a drug addict. After they get to a certain point in their addiction they no longer care about anything even their children. Anything she says to the contrary is just attention seaking BS.

I feel guilty. I'm guilty of that long american obsession of seeing celebrities fall from grace. I guess in a way we are jealous, and are happy when they fall on their face.

But they don't have to live that way. I know they feel pressure to live a certain way by what they see on tv (as we are), but that doesn't mean they have to live the party lifestyle. In the end I can only blame her for her downfall. Yes I know drug addiction is a terrible thing, and at this point she doesn't have much control over herself.

So what I'm wondering, where are her friends? I'm not talking about her friends who only hang around her because she has money. What about her parents? She had to have parents. Where did they go? Why is no one doing an intervention with her?

I was watching a thing about her on entertainment tonight, and some other stars were saying that this happened to her because of the public. I had to shake my head. This happened to her because she is a drug addict. It happens to a lot of people who are not stars. Only she did this to herself and she will have to stop doing it to herself.

So what I'm wondering, where are her friends? I'm not talking about her friends who only hang around her because she has money. What about her parents? She had to have parents. Where did they go? Why is no one doing an intervention with her?

She probably surrounds herself with people who just party with her or enable her. I'm sure there are plenty of people who will do that.

I have a friend whose daughters are terribly screwed up. Both have been on drugs. Both have lost custody of their kids. One appears to be clean atm.

We tried to get the other to do serious treatment (faith-based 15 month program, not revolving-door "rehab" joke) but she's bailed out both times. She's always able to find "friends" who end up feeding the problem directly or indirectly.

If it's crystal meth I heard that a 15-month program is necessary. The shorter programs don't work.

The shorter programs don't work well for meth, coke, crack, heroin... overall success rates are maybe ten percent. 15 month programs have a success rate around 80 percent (for those who go the distance).
