could someone please explain what is wrong with society. There is no way in hell you could convince me high school players used this as a form of hazing in the 50's.

So would this be considered homosexual behavior or not can't really be figured out. Hazing is usually a ritual, rites of passage so to speak. Usually done by young males in our societies so.... it's usually just fooling around and there's no fun unless it includes some kind of power forced upon a person who has to do something that others find hilarious. Usually something embarrasing.

These often take some weird sexual twists though. Forcing someone down and "try to sexually assault" them, what the hell is that all about?

That's not hazing, it's sexual assault.

Hazing is stupid anyway. When I was a freshman on my high school football team, our seniors were pretty mean. They'd punch you or kick you and then pass it off as hazing. They also sucked as football players, and the team went 3-7 their senior year.

When I was a senior, we didn't really haze the freshmen. We allowed them to sit with us at lunch. The worst thing that they had to do was carry the equipment to the practice field. Our team went undefeated that year.

Maybe there's some correlation between hazing and feelings of inadequacy. Maybe there isn't. I just don't understand the point of physically abusive hazing.

Regardless, this can't be characterized as hazing. Gang rape is gang rape.
