  • damn, where is this global warming?

it's cold out, already broke out my sweat pants. Okay, I'm a wuss, cold for me is lower 60's, and that's what we've had (night temps). Shorts was a little bit too cool, so had to get the sweats out.

It's been unusually cool where I live recently. I'm beginning to think something is wrong.

Meanwhile, a record high was set yesterday here in CT. It hit 89 in Hartford.

Bah! I want proper late September temps! Highs in the mid-70s, lows in the upper 40s.

The weather sucks where I live. Every second day is partly cloudy, the rest of the days are mostly cloudy

We haven't had a decent summer since 1997
This space is empty... or is it?

                  From the infallible source:

Indian summer is a name given to a period of sunny, warm weather in autumn, not long before winter. Usually occurring after the first frost, Indian summer can be in late October or early November in the northern hemisphere, and late April or early May in the Southern hemisphere. It can persist for a few days or extend to a week or more.

indian summer? is that politically correct?

Many times it will still be close to 100 all the way till Octoboer. That's why it has been unusually cool. it's warmed up a little. Hovering around 90 in the day time, dipping in the 60's at night.

good thing is I don't have to run the A/C.

Yes. There even exists a famous song "l'été indien" by Joe Dassin.

Global warming has switched to the Southern Hemisphere. Happens every year apparently. I think it's called Summer.
