I'm a Cancer, although on the cusp of Gemini.

Is skin cancer related to birthmark cancer?(is that the word btw? Those brown spots and birthmarks are two different words in Norwegian, but only one word is to be found in my dictionary?) My grandpa died of birthmark cancer.

Melanoma is what you are thinking of, and yes it can kill people. However, if caught early it can be easily removed. My dad gets one removed every 2-3 years it seems.

I've had melonoma in situ and have had it removed. Keep in mind I also have pale skin and try to avoid the sun as much as possible.

I'm not afraid of it yet, but it is something I need to be concerned about.

My mother removes some with a few year's gap. So far nothing, but it was her father, and it's said to be very heritable. My grandfather was unlucky and had a quite rapidly development of the disease, so he got very sick very fast and therefore he became one of the few percents who dies of this particular cancer and not of spread to other regions.

not really, with my lifestyle I am thinking heart attack/coronary disease is more likely cause of problems/death... but relatively young still so hoping to change my ways to extend the stay of execution for a while yet...
