Skin Cancer is not even listed in the most common cancer cases.

Seems that you are more likely to have brain cancer than skin cancer....And thats like a .04% chance.

So, stop fearing skin cancer and start fearing kidney cancer.

      Re: Quebec

DELEGATES ATTENDING A RECENT NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SMOKING and health learned that
there are distinct differences in smoking habits between anglophones and francophones,
and that Quebec has the world’s highest smoking rate for adult women. Speakers
said the high smoking rate in Quebec points to the need for francophone-specific
antismoking messages, not simply messages that have been translated from English.

People don't usually die from skin cancer. Skin cancer usually spreads quickly to your kidneys or thryroid, and that kills you.

I have a really good friend who's dad died this way. He was diagnosed with skin cancer and 3 weeks later died of liver cancer.

Data prepared by Statistics Canada and the Canadian Institute for Health Information for this edition of the Maclean's Health Report show the Quebec City region's overall death rate for cancer in 1996 as the highest among 17 major communities. The region around the Quebec capital stands out for its dismal lung and colorectal cancer death rates - and mortality rates among its men. Its males expire from cancer at higher rates than anywhere else. Specifically their death rate from lung cancer, at 95.1 per 100,000 population, compares with a national number of 67.5. Second worst are Montreal's men, dying of lung cancer at a rate of 81.5 per 100,000.

I am concerned of Cancer possibilitites, yes.

Cancer has run in my family, my Dad has Prostrate Cancer.

"Fear" has many meaning, and if I was diagnosed then perhaps the gammut of emotions would initially run awash over my soul as well as though around me.

I believe in Christ so knowing where I am going is not a concern.

I do believe people feed off of you and how you handle situations.

I mean, its not like your going to live forever, in fact, if I had my choice I would not want to grow old in an assisted living facility, a burden to someone.

I would rather die peaceably in my sleep.

Cancer is often traumatizing and am hopes it would not be extremely painful, as I would not cherish that.

The more I type the more I am certain I would be unable to shoulder the burden, and yes I would have Christ to help.

I am not thumping on anyone who doesnt know Christ and most certainly am not judging, I am merely sharing that in and through my trials and tribulations, my Lord loves me in spite of who I am in in my hour of need is there for comfort.

I do pray for those suffering, one of my plant managers that works for me, his wife, is not suppossed to make it, each and every day I see the burden upon his soul, his reports of how grim the prognosis is, and it pains me deeply to see this.

Serious stuff here folks, but one that I would suspect we would have one view looking in and one very different and much more somber view looking out from the cancer would we personally be subjected to.

Judging by how many times you've coveted your neighbour's donkey back at the Babe Thread, I'd say you're going that fiery red place down below
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

I'm scared ****less of cancer. I have a decent head of hair, and at the very least, I don't want to lose it.

The last was a joke, kind of.
