  • Love Dolls Big Business in Japan

I was trying to find a pic of a gagged love doll to hassle someone here and I didn't find it.
I did come across this. A little startling to me.
Well, to be honest, the love dolls startled me.
I don't think I'll be dropping in on a love doll cathouse though.

In Japan, the customer doesn't just buy a doll and blow it up, or let the reverse happen, anymore.

There are love doll escort services that will do it for you...blow up the doll, that is.

    Japanese call them "Dutch Wives."

For about $50, depending on the exchange rate, a love-doll will be delivered for a 60 minute session. A 3-night, 4-day adventure will cost about $300.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to get the real thing?

Japan, famous for its love hotels, offers Love Doll Rental Rooms for a $10 membership fee, $10 rental fee and $90/hr with the doll...the plastic one...not a real 'doll' doll.

Big breasted dolls, childish ones, even dolls looking like cartoon characters are available....and men, in their 20s-50s actually pay to be with these things....Good grief!

One customer, um, complained because the 5 ft 70lb doll wouldn't take its own clothes off...

If you want to take one home for keeps, I guess that would mean marrying her, er, it...the dolls, silicon bodies with a feel that's real can be bought for $1200 - $5,000.

Gee...that is cheaper than getting married.

Oh....and replaceable heads are available as well.

One company says they sell some 50 dolls a month.

And, perhaps you have heard that Japanese men can be pretty weird. It's true.
I didn't add that last line, DaShi.

What does this have to do with me? Keep your fetishes to yourself.

Initially, I was trying to find a gagged doll to post at Pekka.
It was only later that I realized that there probably isn't much need to gag a doll to keep it quiet.

I didn't know they were rented, but thanks to Somethingawful I already knew all about RealDolls. I'm not surprised that the Japanese rent 'em, though. These are the guys who buy used schoolgirl panties from vending machines.

"Making love" (or what is the act called), with a used plastic doll? Very disturbing.

That's true, I had it confirmed from a buddy who visited Japan. Such vending machines do exist. It is not an urban legend. Go figure.
