There is nothing conservative about the War in Iraq.
While conservatives have traditionally been strong on defense, they have been reluctant to get involved in foreign adventures, especially any so "touchie feelie" as a war to spread democracy. Rather, this is something bleeding-heart liberals would advocate.
I think this irregularity can be explained by the fact that neo-cons began as Democratic liberals who migrated to the Republican Party. The obviously brought with them one of the least-attractive aspects of liberalism.Comment
