does it even snow in NY?
Yes, it does. Not usually in November, but it will be cold, with a good chance of wet too.

Average temp in NYC in November is 8 degrees C. According to the same website (EuroWEATHER, heh), it's not a particularly wet month. Hmm. Edit: in F, the average high in Nov is 54 degrees, and the average low is 41.

And last year, of course, we had a really warm autumn/early winter up here. So you never know. Weather in the NE is pretty variable.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

By the way - snow is fun. Snow makes the cold worthwhile. Cold w/o snow, now that sucks.

          NYC subway is cheap.

Cost: The cost is $2 per ride, no matter how far or how many times you transfer (as long as you don't pass through the turnstile gate; if you do, another fare must be paid). Purchase a MetroCard for single rides or multiple rides, which can save you money if traveling multiple times in a short period. Options include the $7 one-day Fun Pass; the 7-day ($24) and 30-day ($76) unlimited ride cards; and a pay-per-ride card ($10 for 6 rides—the sixth ride is free—but you may put any amount onto a MetroCard).
I think it also works on the buses... though honestly I've never ridden a bus in NYC, despite having been there lots of times. I've always used the Subway.

The Boston "T" isn't as good, but still decent. $9 for the day, $15 for a week.

              truth.

Ideally, you will see snowfall on central park and look at the beauty. Than it will all melt, and the temp till go up to 55 (And if youre coming here, get used to Farhenheit)

Old snow thats been lying around a couple of weeks in Manhattan, is NOT fun. Its usually dark grey to black by that point, and is slushy on warm days, and ice on cold ones.

Id take NYC in November over winter. Winter come south, or go skiing.

Indeed. Or when you're enduring some chilly mid-winter rain, and I'm looking out over a blanket of fresh snow.

Not to mention when you're suffering in sweltering heat, and I'm comfortable up North.

True. Icy sidewalks & streets are unfun.
