Shampoo ads for one. But then again I'm male and very much not in the target group.

Any advertisement which has badly dubbed English over visuals where people are clearly speaking a language other than English.
Any advertisement which YELLS AT YOU FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE ETERNITY BUT ISN'T SELLING YOU A HEARING AID.
Advertisements for confectionery that consist of barely dressed women fellating chocolate. Thanks, but I'd like my confectionery without drool on it, if that's all right.

"Capitalism ho!"
I'v been wondering not at specific ads but at the fact that 90% of ads during football games on one of the cable channels are of detergents, laundry softeners, tampons and other products that IMO opinion are exclusively bought by wemen. These marketing people who place these ads during football games are either clueless or know something that I don't know but it is surely strange.
Something similar is the ad that I heard last week on the only rock radio that we have here. They were advertising a Latin American soap opera that runs on one of the TV stations. Advertising tv shows on radio is strange in itself but advertising soap opera on rock radio really left me thinking WTF.
Regarding targeting, people should be aware that the lowest ad rates are for ROS or "Run Of Station" placement. This means that the station will run the ad whenever they choose, basically as filler during otherwise unsold time. The advertiser gets increased frequency, but the ad ends up runing in the middle of the night, on obscure and inappropriate programs, etc.
