  • Luciano Pavarotti is dying

Apparently he is lying unconscious in his own home, and his kidneys have stopped working. His immediate family is with him.

I will try to find an english link.

    Edit: And here it is

English speaking media still talks about "serious condition", but not yet about him dying

        For example:
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

He has been in very poor health for several years now, so this is not a big surprise.
            Very sad, however.

Does that mean he needs a nessum stoma?

Apparently he is near the end, why, only last night he slipped into a Nessum Coma...

                    OK, I'll stop now

Of all sources, you get your news from EkstraBladet, Asmodean?

On Pavarotti, one characterization has always stuck in my mind. It was that he reached the peaks of mass popularity mainly by his looking somewhat nice and pleasant, sweating profusely - and wiping his forehead at regular intervals with that little handkerchief.

But then what do I know about opera. I hope he's not suffering and indeed, that there's no fat lady clearing her throat in his presence at this time..

                        This is truly sad.

Washing Post is reporting him dead:
